Sejo-sag̈è Bî (/ˈseʤo/ /ˈsag̃è/ [dark] [peach]) is a subtropical Town located in the Qíithtathê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Sejo-sag̈è Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Sejo-sag̈è Bî was founded by Gîj Shonke, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Sejo-sag̈è Bî receives an average of 217 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Sejo-sag̈è Bî covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1434 m (4704 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Sejo-sag̈è Bî was founded durring the early 15th century in fall of the year 1434, by Gîj Shonke. The establishment of Sejo-sag̈è Bî was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Gîj Shonke electing to pay people to resettle in Sejo-sag̈è Bî.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sejo-sag̈è Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî is is constructed arround a series of premissive baked earthen mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. The town's brittle defences are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

A look around Sejo-sag̈è Bî is like looking into a university’s plaza on the day before an exam. People rush about to-and-fro. Discarded scrolls and quills are dotted around town. In spite of many locals discussing academic topics, there’s little sign of any organized groups for any of that talk. Infact, the town seems disordered in general with everything scattered helter skelter about.

Civic Infrastructure

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Sejo-sag̈è Bî. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Sejo-sag̈è Bî's parks.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Sejo-sag̈è Bî.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Sejo-sag̈è Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has an Millitary Academy which trains military officers and specilists.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Sejo-sag̈è Bî's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Sejo-sag̈è Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Sejo-sag̈è Bî's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is skipped in Sejo-sag̈è Bî.

The Ice Elemental, Medium near Sejo-sag̈è Bî are known to be quite timid.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves gestures to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 3 via recitation of poetic epics.

Sejo-sag̈è Bî has access to some sort of functioning ancient infrastructure, whether it's an array of wall-mounted arcane energy projectors, running water, moving roadways, community-wide climate control, or some other inherited luxury. This infrastructure may be the result of a still-functional Working, or it could be the product of some venerable occult engine that's still operational, or it may be the fruit of the labors of some specially-designed organism or Blighted populace.

Due to a magical anomaly, Sejo-sag̈è Bî is directly accessible from a nearby river, despite the lack of a physical connection between the town's pond and the river.

POI

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Loch Ebro began to boil, and released a thick toxic cloud from beneath its waters which devastated , killing every person and animal in its path which could not escape the cloud. Oddly, the plants of the region flourished in the years after the disaster. An estimated people, livestock, and buildings were lost to the disaster. The disaster is referred to as the Horror Wind.
